Jodie Landau
JODIE LANDAU is a composer, vocalist, percussionist, and a member of the renowned Icelandic record label Bedroom Community and the acclaimed Los Angeles based modern music collective Wild Up. His music combines elements of chamber music, rock, and jazz for live performance, film, theater, opera, and dance. His debut album with Wild Up “you of all things” featured the Icelandic female choir Graduale Nobili, who recorded and toured with Björk for Biophillia. Jodie has performed with Roomful of Teeth, The Scottish Ensemble, Los Angeles Master Chorale, ICKAmsterdam / Ballet National de Marseille, Ate9 dANCE cOMPANY, The Industry, Iceland Symphony Orchestra, Jherek Bischoff, Emily Hall, Ellen Reid, Alev Lenz, Nadia Sirota, Nico Muhly, Daniel Bjarnason, and Valgeir Sigurðsson, among others. Jodie is currently working on his new show exploring queerness, dating, drag, projection, and perspective called “Performance of Self”, in collaboration with director/production designer Peabody Southwell and choreographer Stephanie Zaletel, commissioned and produced by Beth Morrison Projects.
